Say what you want about Chief Keef, but he sure knows how to pick a beat. The bearded brothers of MMG, Rick Ross & Stalley, agree and take a turn over one of the Chicago hitter’s best selections in their “Love Sosa” freestyle. Ross sounds typically comfortable over the Young Chop-produced trunk rattler. Stalley sounds typically uncomfortable.
Far be it from me to pigeon-hole anybody, especially artists I enjoy and respect like Stalley, but I don’t think I am reaching by saying that the Ohioan’s post-MMG output has been inconsistent at best. Here’s hoping that his next release strikes a comfortable balance between the intelligent trunk music that initially caught fans’ ears and his star turn on “Party Heart.”
