“Passing the Crown” represents sharing knowledge and access to other individuals so they can win. Check out plaques from Usher and Mariah on Bryan-Michael Cox’ wall and you’ll know he holds the Crown. Now, this Miami producer plans on sharing the wealth, saying “passing the Crown down is about giving back, sharing knowledge and building up the next level of professionals.” And in the latest installment of Crown Royal Black’s Passing The Crown series, that is exactly what BMC does for his fellow hit-makers Kendrick “Wyldcard” Dean and Fatin “10” Horton.
Kendrick recognizes the significance of the crown. “The crown is something precious. So, to even be considered as someone to hold the crown or to take on the crown, that is something of an honor in itself.” Fatin “10” shares profound insight on Southern style music. “The South is something you can’t escape, regardless of where you’re from. On the musical standpoint, because of the richness and the diversity and the history, the culture comes out in our music. You hear it in the soulfulness of the sounds and in the melodies that we choose.”
To take a trip down South to learn more about the music, the culture and soak up some insider knowledge from these three Crowned producers, watch more videos and learn about “Passing the Crown” at Respect-Mag.com/TheCrownLife.
