Lushlife – “Magnolia” Video

By Beware / 11.07.12

Lushlife is the latest MC going above & beyond with his music videos. Although the settings throughout his “Magnolia” visual are relatively average, the fact this Philly rapper took the time to turn every word from his Plateau Vision album opener into a 3-D cardboard helmet is beyond admirable. Do you realize how long that would take? Or, even worse, how many scissor blisters you’d end up getting? This could’ve easily taken a year. Luckily, this easier-thought-than-executed idea from directors Lamar+Nik took the minimalistic track into overdrive.

Using zero special effects, this literal visualization of Lush’s plush rhymes and detail-oriented delivery makes it easier for listeners to connect with the lyrics. So, not only does this production carry a quirky cool – it’s also promoting the atypical artistry of Lushlife, in general.

Since hard work should always pay off, cop Plateau Vision today.
