While on promo runs for Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, Big Boi stopped by Hot 97 to drop some insight on a variety of topics. In addition to discussing the album, this is probably the most he’s ever elaborated on the state of Outkast since the group went on hiatus. And despite all the fallacies that the internet has spread over the years, Mr. Leftfoot resoundingly declares that his relationship with Andre 3000 is absolutely fine and that there was never even an inkling of a falling out.
Meanwhile, the ever reclusive Dre, provided a rare interview of his own as he sat down with Fuse to raise awareness for prostate cancer as part of Gillette’s “Movember” campaign. During the course of the convo, Andre discusses his verse on T.I.’s “Sorry,” where he apparently issues some sort of an apology to Big for falling back from the Hip-Hop world.
However, he too, declares that there’s no love lost and that if/when there is any decision one way or another regarding the group, we will hear it straight from them, and not any other sleazy web site. Dre emphasized that “If we decide to do something, you’ll know about it. He adds that “The Internet is such a misinformation age right now. There’s so much bad stuff that you don’t even know what to believe, so don’t believe anything about OutKast on the Internet until we say it.”
