Usain Bolt is the fastest man this side of Neptune and the same guy who made the 100 meters in London his personal bitch. Having said that, the coolest thing he did may have come after the race. After ensuring Yohan Blake, Tyson Gay and others knew what second, third and so forth felt like, the safest best in pro sports along with Floyd Mayweather, politely paused his post-race interview.
Sanya Richards-Ross was receiving her gold medal for the 400 meters while Usain reflected on his world record performance. Yet, U.B. realized the magnitude of the moment and respectfully paid homage to the American while she basked in her glory. As Brian Floyd notes, the fact Bolt actually stopped the recording is a classy move given the fact his interview likely would not have disturbed any of the proceedings anyway.
While Usain does have more events to run before the 2012 Games come to a conclusion, one thing remains true. When the lights of the entire world focus Bolt an his competitors, we’d see who the original don dada was. That’s a bad man on that track and field. And by the looks of this video, a respectable one, too.
