Open Thread: NBA Finals Game Five

By J. Tinsley / 06.21.12

With Game 5 of the NBA Finals on a collision course with possible history, several questions stand at code red levels. Can Russell Westbrook repeat his Game 4 near-masterpiece? Can Kevin Durant find his fourth quarter magic again? Will the real James Harden please arrive for duty? Will Scott Brooks finally discover the correct rotation? And for Miami, will Mario Chalmers or another “role player” arrive on the biggest of stages? Can we break double digit sightings on the always fun “Birdman Watch”? What do Stunna and that old white lady who sit beside him actually talk about? Arts and crafts? Immigration? Can Chris Bosh continue to frustrate the Thunder bigs for one more game? How many times will Dwyane Wade fall and look at the refs? And is this the night LeBron James finally ascends to the throne?

By the end of the night, we’ll know the answer to all these questions and more. In the meantime, keep the atmosphere festive in the comments and give us your synopsis of what’s going down in South Beach.
