To be completely honest, the only reason this song was given a listen was because of the Gangsta Boo feature. Upon hearing about Mach Five’s backstory, however, well, I still listened for Gangsta Boo, but I came to respect their hustle. Mach Five happens to be a group – Corey Davis and A. Ware – who began working together some five years ago and adopted their group name based off the Speed Racer cartoon. Fast forward a few years, their Greedmont Park e-zine, their role in the Atlanta Indie Fest and two EP’s this year, we now have “Turn Up Juice.”
No, not the juice your auntie made you drink because it was good for your bones. Instead, the concoction consisting of Lord knows what that’ll get you 12 levels past faded and wondering who the hell you slept with last night. It hasn’t gotten the whip treatment yet, but the bass sounds nothing short of pavement cracking. Whatever your variety of “Turn Up Juice” is, drink responsibly, mi amigos.
