Fulfilling The Prophecy: Kentucky’s Title-Winning Starting Five Going Pro

By AJ / 04.18.12

In news that should surprise no one, every member of the University of Kentucky’s starting five will look to join the NBA ranks next season. The move was announced in a Tuesday night press conference in Lexington, Kentucky, where the players – Freshmen Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Marquis Teague, and sophomores Terrence Jones and Doron Lamb – appeared beside head basketball coach John Calipari and gave their intentions. Realistically, all five of these players will be first-round selections and backup guard Darius Miller will also probably find a home in the NBA. That’s six future NBA players hailing from last year’s national champions. It kind of goes without saying, but thank god Coach Cal knows how to recruit.
