G-Dep was convicted by a judge and jury today, charged with the 1993 murder of another man in a robbery gone awry. For those short on memory, the killing was the one Dep, 37, confessed to on own volition last year. The former Bad Boy believes the admission and “He has a conscience and a heart, and his conscience and his heart brought him to where he is today,” his lawyer, Anthony Ricco, said after court. “He’s probably making the most powerful statement a rapper of his era can make, which is to be accountable and to do the right thing.”
The rapper will be sentenced on May 8th and faces at least a 15-years-to-life prison term.
