Ryan J already covered the 2012 Coachella lineup, and while he found a lot to be excited about, I couldn’t help but think that the festival was a bit too rock-heavy. Nothing against the Black Keys or Radiohead, but past iterations of the festival definitely boasted more interesting, diverse fields. Not sure if the festival heads heard my wishes, but the addition of Eminem and Warren G. definitely make the concert all the more appealing.
The two rappers will be present at the Dr. Dre/Snoop Dogg set, which is also said to include Kendrick Lamar and Daz Dillinger. Wiz Khalifa is also said to be in attendance. What seemed like a very one-sided affair is evolving into something much more appealing. Missing out yet again will be painful.
Update: According to Warren G.’s rep, his rep, Domenick Nati, the rapper will not be a part of any Coachella performances. Per a statement released to TSS: “Warren G is not announcing that he and Eminem will perform with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. Warren had no knowledge that any such announcement was being made until after it was posted. Any postings involving him and other artists were made without his knowledge or consent and he is not willing to confirm or deny anyone’s involvement in this years Coachella event. We apologize for any confusion that this caused.”
