What’s funny is the same way people tout ASAP Rocky’s potential and what he possibly means to the Big Apple, that same thought was in my head in regards to Vado about two years ago. For whatever reasons – feel free to choose your own – buddy never truly cashed in (yet) on the buzz that once surrounded him. I wish the brother the best, however, and here’s to Vado for continuing to promote his Slime Flu 2 project with the release of his “I See You (Black People)” visual.
Paying homage to Black History Month, the video is Harlem’s own way to show respect not only to the inhabitants in his neighborhood fighting the good fight, but those anywhere. Contrary to popular belief, the world is actually bigger than New York City and this is Vado’s way of acknowledging such. There’s nothing wrong with a little positivity every once and a while.
