We have a chance to donate $1000 to charity but we need everyone’s help and there’s absolutely no heavy-lifting required. All we need you to do is take a pledge and then go party your hearts out.
From now until March 17, we’re working with Guinness & Co. in their efforts to set a Guinness World Records title for “The Largest St. Patrick’s Day Celebration” ever. Yes, we encourage everyone to celebrate St. Patty’s Day in true Irish fashion with a nice stout beer (drink responsibly, of course) because, in this case, it means a chance for us to raise a sizable donation to Soles4Souls.
1. Go to www.Guinness.com.
2. Click “Join the Party,” after which, you’ll be taken to a form to sign the pledge. The form asks for first name, country, zip and “optional code.” The “optional code” field is where you have to enter our referral code, which is SMOK. That code is key because its what tracks our pledges. So, again, please remember to enter the code “SMOK.”
3. That’s all, that’s it. If you want to go the extra mile, encourage your friends to sign up as well. Spread the word using Twitter and Facebook.
Guinness will issue us a check in the amount equivalent to the people who sign up using our code, up to a maximum of 1,000. We’re going to turn around and make a donation to Soles4Souls. Yes, you know if I’m in it sneakers are involved but Soles4Souls cause is greater than that. The shoe charity collects gently worn shoes and monies to provide footwear to adults and children in need.
So, again, you pledge to party and we all get to help put sneakers on the feet of those in need.
