No matter your stance on Tyga’s tunes, you’ve at least got to acknowledge his success over the past year. For a while there, he was simply known as the Wiz lookalike from YMCMB. Then, after grinding to the max, he exploded all over radio and laid out the red carpet for his big screen debut, Careless World: Rise Of The Last King. Now, we have maybe the most anticipated song from the album, “King & Queens,” T-Raw’s collaboration with Ralph and Nasty Nasir.
Much deeper than recent tracks from the “Rack City” rapper, this lo-fi gem features introspective sixteens from each of these three MCs and will probably be looked at as a career highlight for Tyga, by both himself and fans alike. Well, maybe not his fans per se, but hip-hop heads, in general.
Tyga Feat. Wale & Nas – “Kings & Queens”

I just can’t believe Young Money’s finally going to release an album by someone other than Wayne, Drake, or Nicki. Too bad it’s Tyga though.
*Tears*
who from Young Money would you rather drop an album? Lil Chuckee? Lil Twist? or would you wanna hear a Busta Rhymes when him saying “gotta get it, gotta do it, gotta set it, gotta wet it, bet it, dead it.” a hundred times fast?
Since the album just leaked…I’m listening to it now and its pretty good(production wise) and this track is def my fav frm the album…even though he wont be as “big” as Young Money wants him to be such as, Drake and Ms.Roman…anyway he still can hold his own; and at least his album is FINALLY coming out *Kanye shrug*
Co-sign all of this.
Tyga delivered the goods with his LP. It’s up to the YMCMB machine to push him to the masses.
i feel like this shouldve been a wale joint on his album…he and nas killed this joint, n tyga’s verse on this is better than usual, but i still cant/wont rock with cuz. ill listen to the leak, but it all feels manufactured
if tyga wasn’t on YMCMB, 50% more hip-hop fans would be rocking with him, hes got a lot of legit records in his catalouge. some are posted on this site, from years back
Yep…I agree if dude wasn’t associated with YMCMB more hip-hop heads will really praise this dude like they did for J.Cole, Meek Millz, K.Dot and others but i think Young Money is holding dude back or he just doesn’t have that start quality like Drake and Minaj. I guess that’s why he will always be consider as the “Tony Yayo” of YMCMB ughhh
Always considered Mack Maine the Tony Yayo of YMCMB.
I liked some of his earlier records, but the newer stuff I’ve heard combined with his whole persona puts me off.
I personally thought Gudda Gudda was the Tony Yayo for the record.
THIS
I agree Tyga has a lot of dope records, especially when he went on his mixtape grind. Introspective records from Tyga is nothing new though he had quite a few on his first album. I remember he had the whole GED thing that Schoolboy Q was down with a while back, who knows how that would’ve panned out.
His grind has been unbelievable these past 2 years.. Incredible to see how the kid from “Coconut Juice”(I’ll admit I thought it was a one-hit wonder deal) explode this huge. He was as hot as any other counterpart of YMCMB on a “street” level. You couldn’t/can’t go anywhere without hearing his songs(don’t try to find a house party that’s Tyga-less…you’ll fail) This album looks to be one of the best of the year(mainstream..no arguments:)..Clap for him.
i throw house parties almost every weekend and ill guarantee that tyga has never been played
This would’ve been so much better if it had started just before NaS’s verse!
lol @ wales name being ralph..
