Due to their endless barrage of YouTube videos, which was capsized thanks to a flawless rendition of “Look At Me Now,” Karmin has been considered a novelty act up onto this point. Now that they have their buzz in the upper hemisphere, Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan used the rookie artist’s holy grail that is SNL’s music stage to show they make original music too. The end result is like a 2012 Busta Rhymes meets Roxette and is actually pretty enjoyable.
Naked of the convenient editing techniques that go alongside uploading clips to the web, Amy showed her warp speed lyrics and astute vocal ability are authentic as the pair debuted some original content in “Broken Hearted” and “I Told You So” for the masses. Check them out on Facebook for the MP3′s.

I like
Lana Del Ray is somewhere, salty and bitter
LDR is topping charts right now… #winning
I thought it was okay-borderline-gahbidge. Amy struts around on stage like she’s squatting to take a sh!t…
^This. Except the part about it being “okay”. Karmin is pretty lame. I actually got that “I’m so embarrassed right now” feeling watching Amy strut awkwardly on stage. #youtubestars
with those patronizing high school musical facial expressions
Idk seems pretty butt cheeks tome….seems like what would happen if you mixed LDR & Nicki Manaj together(That’s 2 artist that annoy the shit out of me)
ripping nicki manaj and yelawolf’s act aside, why is that guy still following her around?
Nice. Very polished. Couldn’t take my eyes off her.
ehhhhhhh…… same ol story to me….. good pop music but when it comes down to the actual rapping…. garbage!!!!!!! it works for teeny boppers and ppl that arent listening to all the music at their technical fingertips!!!! i mean its cheezy and simple…. just like absolute pop should be but the rapping has gotta go…. i would be more into it if it was just singing
i listen to dope mcs soooo im prob biast towards spectacular rap so if ur gonna do it…………………… do it well not just becuz its popular and sells and looks cool
Terrible yo.
This is the problem with the “YouTube Generation.” Covers are easy to pull off – if you can rap or sing how easy is it to make a hit song sound good with a little creativity and change? Not difficult at all. But when it comes to being original and penning your own records, you get EXACTLY what you see above – those are not hits, not even close to it (and I was watching live and thinking this so, this post has no input on my opinion).
The verdict? The chick (sorry, I do not know her name) raps like an EXACT clone of Nicki “I performed horribly at the Grammys” Minaj, sings like Katy Perry, and jerks and motions like a combination of the aforementioned.
While there are many benefits and positives to technology, THIS is a perfect example of the negatives.
Sanitation Gar-bosh.
I usually stan for anyone reppin’ my hometown but I thought this was sub par. I too (ala TRA) felt like I was watching a white Nicki Minaj and their performance had no teeth. Her showmanship was tops albeit kinda awkward, but I have to sit on the fence for their original material until they decide to make something righteous.
This whole act feels forced to me. Bad pop songs? I guess not. But the girl’s voice is grating and her facial expressions and mannerisms (especially the squatting) are a little too awkward for me…
And the way the guy in the group bounced around, in sunglasses, in the second clip was funny to me too. I understand he’s 1/2 of the group, but it felt and looked strange for somebody singing back-up vocals. And then have to run back to the keys to push one key for effects…
this guys, sorry, was just really sub par, if i was in charge of this record label i would fire the whole team. LA reid exposed himself on x factor showing that he really has no idea what he is doing, even a blind man can hit the dart board if he throughs out a crap load of darts…. and this was a lot of crap… cheese to the max!!!
boy was this bad
she seems like a mix between lil wayne trying to rap with minaj mannerisms.
