When you get an e-mail from an artist describing their video as “Enter The Dragon meets Super Mario Brothers,” you don’t really know what to expect. But upon watching XL Middleton’s extremely well-designed visual for his high-class accompaniment to bedroom escapades, you’ll see that the plus-size Pasadena producer/rapper was dead on. Actually, for as intricate as this princess-rescuing mission came out, he really could’ve said “one of the most creative music videos you’ll see all year” and we still wouldn’t have been let down. Not only is this that dope, but it made me realize how high the bar is these days for artists’ visuals, no matter who you are.
