I’ve been riding with Big Poppa the past few days myself. The growth lyrically from RTD to LAD was amazing. He’s the Len Bias of rap.
I think Len Bias would fit Big L more because like Bias L never got to that “Big Stage” to show off his talent. L was about to go to the ROC (when that meant something) like Bias was about to the Cs when they really meant something.
To me BIG dying would be like if Jordan was killed right after the first 3peat

I was 11 when this album came out and my mom bought the explicit version for me. I can remember accompanying my father to taking care of my grandfather’s house in the country (in GA) and me bumping this album in the car while he was outside…..and the lack of appropriateness (not a word) never seemed strange to me at all, nor did it to my parents apparently LOL
This is my favorite song from that album. I listened to this album nonstop for the next year and this was the first album I knew the lyrics to from front to back.
