The MMG album release list is far from short and next up appears to be the follow up to the label’s compilation project, Self Made Vol. 1. The second installment see its first preview liberated during Rozay’s birthday weekend with “Bag Of Money” also featuring Wale and Meek Mill. With Beat Billionaire on the boards, Ross plays second fiddle by handling hook duties and offering a rather generic verse while Folarin and Meek sound especially aggressive on a track catered to the fairer sex. It’ll be interesting to see if Ross and co. can strike gold again with singles mimicking the success of songs like “Tupac Back” and “I’ma Boss,” but with momentum and the radio on their side, Maybach Music doesn’t look to be hitting the emergency gas light anytime soon.
P.S. – With Nipsey Hussle’s expected signing, Stalley appearing to be receiving more of a push this time around and Ross, Wale and Meek becoming more popular by the day it seems, SMV2 looks to be something to keep an eye out for. All I ask is that Gunplay gets at least one record. Oh, and one last thing. Here’s an issue I’ve been pondering. Not trying to sound like a jerk, but what happens with the records Pill recorded for the album?

I also heard rumors that Dom was going to sign with MMG. I don’t think he would be a good fit honestly. I still think that about Stalley.
outside of the hook i dont remember a single line that pill spit on that song, where as i know the gunplay verse by heart, so i gotta give it to him.
but i agree, they have more than enough artists to focus on right now, and the last thing they need to do is sign more. ross, meek and self made vol 2 are all supposed to drop this year, so realistically if nipsey, dom, or anyone else signs, they wont be doing much for at least a year.
and ross needs to be using masspike miles instead of neyo, his new tape is too smooth

who said Pill recorded any tracks?? from the way he was talking, they ignored him musically altogether. he was more of a “calm entourage guy with a name” than an artist.
At the time I assumed the reason he seemed isolated from the rest of the crew on Self Made was so that he would get some of his own shine, what with Wale being the biggest name and having the album coming out the soonest and Meek having the hits. In hindsight they obviously just weren’t gelling musically.
