During his show’s two-year run (many of us don’t count the third season), Dave Chappelle used his clout in the entertainment industry to reel in rap’s A-listers for weekly musical segments. While watching Snoop rap “Deep Cover” with Tyrone Biggums was cool to see, the real benefit of bringing such names to the show were often found in skits. These segments showcased the featured rappers goofing around with Dave. From playing fictionalized versions of themselves to made-up characters, the following are some of my favorite Chappelle’s Show skits to feature rappers. As always, feel free to drop your two cents in the comments.

Fuck Nick Cannon
-Dave Chappelle
Dave’s Son ” I told you he’s Hilarious”
my favorites were the De La Soul and The Roots Appearances. Just wish The Roots would have taken a cue from De La and used the same version of “Don’t Say Nothin” from the show instead of that Scott Storch crap for the “Tipping Point” abum.
Wu Financial and RocaPads were my favs…
Gotta have Wu-Tang Financial on there
AJ you need to diversify yo bonds nigga!
I’ll be honest, Wu Financial grew stale on me.
/ducks rocks
Even though he’s not a rapper, the Dame Dash Roc-a-Pads was always my favorite.
Rashida Jones was in that skit. A good four-five years before The Office. And, dare I say, she looked sexier then.
She WAS looking good too.
Rashida:”I got something that’ll keep your period muthafuckin tizz-ight!”
chic: “Mother fucking tizz-ight?”
XD
Melle Mel from the “Lost Episodes” or whatever was damn near genius.
Mos Def head of the Black CIA. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJe8VVEQ0pQ
The outtakes from the Playa Haters Ball are just as funny as the actual sketch
I always forget they aren’t ALL in the scene.
#6. Da (entire) Band (minus Dylan)

iThink Mos Def calling Flipper, James The NIgga Hatin’ Dolphin, should’ve been numero uno!
yeah thats one of the most slept on skits of the show.
Absolutely! The best is Donnell Rawlings in the pool: “IT’S JAMES! THE NIGGA HATIN DOLPHIN!”

Mos Def as General Cornrow Wallace has got to be one of my favorite sketches. PRRRRRRRRRRR
As far as rappers actually rapping, De La Soul’s ‘Much More’ or Black Star’s ‘What’s Beef?’ are my two favorites.
Mos Def killed it with General Cornroll Wallace.
Lil Jon our favorite! OKAAAAAAYYYY!
