See, sneaker advancements like these are the kinds of improvements I marvel at, but try to hold back, lest everyone think I was a loon for being amped over minute details. adidas messed around and made a pair of sneakers that weigh about as much as a stamped envelope. The new adiZero Rush clocks in at 7.5 ounces, which is like walking around in a pair of well-cushioned socks I suppose. Not only that, I love it even more that they took me up my suggestion to start including multiple laces with all kicks. I’m going to let the press release break down the particulars but definitely shouts out to you, adidas, for a fine piece of work.

“adidas unveils the new adizero Rush, one of the lightest every day running shoes on the market. At 7.5 ounces and seven bold color combinations, the adizero Rush is a unique combination of high performance and style.

“adizero Rush features adiPrene+ midsole technology for resilient cushioning in the forefoot to ensure a responsive ride. The shoe’s SprintWeb provides lightweight support while the unique nylon mesh construction is breathable and keeps the foot locked in place for stability and speed. The SprintFrame™ helps return energy to each stride and the shoe’s Lightstrike™ EVA reduces midsole weight by 15 percent.

“Each pair of adizero Rush comes with a second lace to provide an unexpected pop of color, while the shoe’s weight is clearly displayed along the trim.”
