We usually focus our NFL recaps around the weekly games that occur on Sunday. With the holiday schedule, only one game went down yesterday, featuring a Midwest rivalry game between the Packers and Bears. No surprises here as Aaron Rodgers is still Aaron Rodgers. The Packers QB went 21 for 29 and threw for 283 yards as the Pack continued to roll over opponents in what’s become their usual, dominate fashion. The Sunday night’s final outcome wound up being a 35-21 W for Green Bay as the Packers simultaneously clinched the No. 1 seed and home-field advantage through the playoffs with a win and dashed the Bears playoff hopes by eliminating them from the playoffs.
The two biggest notes from last night’s game.
1. While his team certainly clinched, Rodgers just may have locked up the season’s MVP award by having the first five-touchdown game of his career. It’s still a three-man race between him, Brees and Brady, but Rodgers dismantling of defenses all season coupled with his team’s record gives him a decided edge in my opinion.
2. There’s a sad sap in Green Bay who watched the game (or maybe not) and saw his former lover smearing his name in the mud on TV and now the ‘net.
H/T: The Big Lead

You do know that there was games on saturday right?
Clinch-city aka Detroit sure does.
The Lios might not win more than one playoff game this year, but I feel bad for who ever gets stuck playing them in any round.
We demolished San Diego, who is perennially good in December and did it with ease, looking to prove a point.
Really all 3 dudes are giving real reasons why they can be MVP this season and reasons why the 2 other can steal it but Rodgers having a 2 game win record on both dudes makes him the one to take the crown.
LIONS!
