Last day of the year and everything’s in the books. The best and worst projects, the mixtapes, the “Notable Quotables” and even a full list of slept-on releases*. With the formalities out of the way, we offer our bi-annual** round-up of the 100 songs we played ad nauseam***. Click through, enjoy…and we’ll see you on the other side.
RMF!
* - All of which can be read by clicking here.
** – Did you forget July’s 75-song “Intermission”?
*** – In totally random order because we believe in organized confusion.

If you can listen to this song all the way through, hear Kendrick say he played it for his sister – and not get goosebumps – you have no soul.

This.
Yeah, those last couple of bars really bring the song home.

That’s what I was just saying.
I Like the list. #101 should be “Ricky” by The Game
While you gone? Shiiit… Netflix on your couch.
Perfect. The way he delivers that line is perfect. Funniest thing I’ve never laughed out loud to.
YES. I wrote that one up…I’ve listened to that song more than any other over the last two months. Hundreds of times lol.
#MicrowaveOvenWhileYouOutThereCuffin
Where’s that last J. Cole song from?
It was a bonus on the “internet” version of his album. If u paid 4ur only copy u didnt get it
Anybody read the comment section on that article on NPR about swag being the word of the year? Interesting stuff…
Thanks for being some of the most on-point writers working today
Maybe I missed sumthin but I don’t recall seeing any Frank Ocean on the list….?
Things were bound to get left out I guess. I’m also surprised at the lack of Pusha. “Trouble On My Mind”, “My God”, & “Body Work” for instance.
Covert Coupe kind of got left out in the cold on these lists.
Frank Ocean was on the list from July if it’s any consolation.

Cool with everything here except calling Skrillex ‘Mr Dubstep’.
Come on, Skrillex isn’t even dubstep really, let alone the guy who represents it best
Dubstep semantics! To most people’s ears it still sounds like whomwhomwhombrzzzzzzbrrraaaahhhmmm…! Even his name sounds like a dubstep beat lol!
Give me “Lord Knows”, “Midnight City” by M83, “The Bay” by Metronomy, “The Wilhelm Scream” by James Blake, “The New Generation” by Robin Thicke , “Smash Potatoes” by Rittz and “Homeland” by Laws
5′ o’CLOCK, terrible song, being catchy doesn’t make it good, it shines like a shiny piece of foil in a pile of garbage, thats about it.
