The past is the past, but something tells me had “Tats On My Arm” and “Best Night Ever” made Ambition, I probably would have fought a tad bit harder to get Wale 3.5 Cigs. Give the brain trust at MMG some credit, however. At least “Tats…” will not fall by the wayside. Folarin and The Fat Man head to the body ink parlor and bring the camera crew along for the journey. From there, the duo allow their arms to be canvases and have video checks hold their blunts while doing their 1-2 thing. You know, how most visits to the tattoo shop eventually pan out. Also, be sure to catch the preview of Ross lending his talents to the other Maybach Music golden child Meek Mill for their collaborative effort, “Work.” As a fair warning though, Ross is shirtless.
Expect to find “Tats On My Arm” on Self Made Vol. 2, which apparently has been news for damn near a month now. Excuse me and the rock I was living under for being late to the party on that tidbit.

I wonder how Torch, Gunplay and them are feeling right now. I haven’t heard their names in a minute.
they probably have real jobs by now.
lol/smh. I liked Torch’s mixtape from…was that earlier this year or last year. Shit, I can’t even remember the name of it.

Same with “Bait”. It was a bonus track but thats not the same.
Greed
I hate to say it, but compilations are for suckers. Artists rarely get a good return for the amount of effort it takes to make one. They work well if the people involved are already firmly established, but otherwise all those extra people simply make people not care about the main artist.

Ross & MMG are clearly the exception. Like I said before, “All it’s about are the right songs. Sales don’t matter as much as brand recognition & records that connect with the people.”.
When you put yourself in a position to be heard & seen and keep delivering potent product, eventually people will have no choice but to pay attention. These Self Made comps are helping establish MMG as a credible brand outside of Ross in a way the Triple C’s album could never do.
