Even though I’ve seen Beware rave about Jon Connor so many times before, it took me awhile before I finally came around and listened to his music. The Flint emcee is definitely a guy who can carry his own weight on a record, but it’s still brave of him to take on an already pummeled beat like Lil’ Wayne’s “Intro/Interlude/Outro.” However it’s a whole ‘nother deal to then put a baseball bat to it and smash it up some more. Up until today, I was pretty confident that Tech N9ne stood alone as that beat’s conquerer, but after spinning “That’s What He Does” a few times, there might just be room for two up there.
