Sometimes words are not needed to drive home a message. Case in point, Terrace Martin’s “Reality Check (African American National Anthem).” T.M. and his saxophone vividly assist in showing the parallels between present day injustices and those from the past. The soul of the sax and use of pictures drive home that ill and the much needed change that needs to be implemented on society. And imagine my enjoyment upon finding out the ever-so-talented Terrace was gearing to release a new project in the coming weeks.
Locke High 2 is scheduled to hit iTunes October 25. If this is any indication of the quality, we’re already heading in the right direction.
