The NBA lockout situation worsens as the days go by. In the ongoing pissing match between owners and players, Commissioner David Stern dropped a new bomb today: prepare yourselves for no Christmas Day games if an agreement isn’t met on Tuesday. Stern warned that a breakthrough must occur by Tuesday or his “gut is that we won’t be playing on Christmas Day.” Ugh. That means no special sneaker releases for Christmas either I guess.
And it looks like ABC’s also already preparing for the worst, scheduling in a previously shelved game show to debut on Sunday afternoons, the time slot usually reserved for NBA broadcasts.

Life Gave The NFL A Hell Of A Lane…
At this point I’m starting to care less and less about the NBA.
Bitch move… courtesy of David Stern. His pay should be based on whether there is a season also.
Ugh. That means no special sneaker releases for Christmas either I guess.

damn man.
don’t even know what to say…
This is what you get with a commissioner who don’t love the game.
This is the second lockout during his tenure as commish. I’m starting to think less that he doesn’t care and more that he HATES the game of basketball and wants to prevent it from being played ever on the professional level.
Next it will be no New Years Eve games either. SMH
R.I.P. NBA Season
Not all the blame is on Stern & the owners, you have to fault the union too. Sure we are fans of the players & could care less about the owners but BOTH sides are willing to miss games & even a season just to “win” a disagreement over $4.3 Billion dollars smh. This will wear down on fans and hurt the league’s overall marketability in my opinion because most of us won’t even get to smell what $4.3 bill is yet alone accumulate it! I get it, owners want to make revenue and can’t because “star” players are jumping ship for what appears to be greener pastures & I get it players want the best contracts they can get with more flexibility in them (which is a contradiction in my eyes). All in all I’m sick of the way this is being played out, it’s not fair to the avg joe that spends their hard earned money to see these players play. I hope something gets worked out but I can honestly say that I don’t see a NBA season being played this year.
Stern is just doing his job. Another fight of Billionaires vs Millionaires and yet the thousandaire fans pay the price. I like college basketball anyways.
but for now I’m just enjoying the MLB playoffs right now.
