It’s been a week to remember for New York. First, Cam’ron lands on Jeporady. Second, and more seriously, a local McDonald’s has made nationwide news for an assault from one of its employees. And it’s 2011, so you know the entire thing was caught on camera. The old adage preaches trouble always seems to find you when you least expect it, or something like that. Rayon McIntosh was simply trying to do his job, earn an honest living and stay on the sunny side of the law when two customers pushed his buttons and all hell broke loose.
I’ve been in some ratchet ass Mickey D’s in my life – including this one New Year’s 2009 – so seeing customers act ignorant is nothing out of the ordinary; almost second nature, really. But these two, Rachel Edwards and Denise Darbeau, escalated things a step further by jumping over the counter in pursuit of McIntosh. Buddy, from there, lost his damn noodle and proceeded to beat them senseless with a metal rod. One of the women ended up with a fractured skull and broken arm while the other suffered a cut.
Things go from bad to worse for Rayon as it is reported he is an ex-con and is currently being held on $40,000 bond. I’m not condoning Rayon actions, nor do I know what actually caused the tension. But, the fact remains if you jump over that counter it means you’re pretty much extending an open invitation for damn near anything to pop off. Add that along with the fact buddy probably wasn’t all there to start and it’s not totally surprising he went apesh*t.
