Jay-Z Congratulates J. Cole On No. 1 Album, J. Cole Says Thanks

By Gotty™ / 10.05.11

After J. Cole’s Roc Nation debut landed on top the Billboard charts, Jay-Z offered up congrats to his label’s latest superstar. “J. Cole’s success is testament to amazing artist development and Cole’s hard work,” Jay states. “I want to congratulate him on a #1 album and more importantly a great body of work.” Cole’s manager, Mark Pitts, chimed in that the young MC “personifies humility and grace with edge and depth. As an MC, his point of view speaks to and represents me. I’m proud and blessed to be a part of his journey!”

For his part, Cole took to his Facebook, employing a viral vid to thank his fans, blogs and magazines for helping push him to success. And since we haven’t included it previously, let’s toss in the extra video dissecting the making of The Sideline Story, narrated by Jiggaman himself.

Tune in to Jimmy Kimmel tonight to catch Cole perform.
