Three singles in and it’s more than apparent that Folarin is going directly for the hearts and lips (both sets) of his female fans. Snagging Miguel, Wale liberates what appears to be the next look into his November scheduled project, Ambition. Where “Best Night Ever” was essentially “That Way Pt. 2″ (not a bad thing), “Lotus Flower Bomb” is equally as laid back, but with a different, yet receptively inviting twist. MMG’s Chocolate City representative could have stumbled upon a nice little ditty here if given the proper push; an issue which has always seemed to be the biggest x-factor as it relates to Wale and his career.
Still, “Lotus…” feels like it will spawn into one of those records that’ll get hotter as the temperature gets colder.
