As the “Country Shit” remix continues to grow in popularity, Hip-Hop heads all over the country have been waiting for Big K.R.I.T.’s Def Jam debut, Live From The Underground. Sucks to say, but what was supposed to be a September 27th release date has been moved back a few months, now scheduled to touch down at the top of 2012. This news comes from Jonny Shipes, head of Cinematic Music Group, who tweeted ““Big K.R.I.T. #livefromtheunderground isnt droppin 9.27 anymore moved 2 top of next year. #goodtalk.”
Speculation is sure to run rampant over the delay, but in no way should this be considered a red flag. Given his excellent track record, a largely self-produced artist like K.R.I.T. can have all of the time he needs and we’ll assume it’s worth the wait. In the meantime, everybody should catch K.R.I.T. teaming up with Curren$y and Method Man on the Smoker’s Club Tour 2011, which I hate to say is completely bypassing Ohio. Off to Pennsylvania I go.

yeaaa buddy
K.R.I.T. can take all the time he needs, i’m still bumping return of 4eva
Agreed. He’s got enough mat’l to coast him while he tours and records. A new Goodtalk mixtape would be nice around Nov-Dec though.
I was definitely looking forward to that album release on the 27th, sure everyone else (who is a fan) was too. Hopefully there will be a few releases in the meantime, maybe some tracks not going on the album, A few collabs, something. Let’s just hope it doesn’t get pushed back any further than that.
:(
He needs to get up a lil mo steam though…
its cool but label be trippin sometimes it just so happen not this time, i’ll be ridin wit Kritter in 2012
@fremont’s finest
Dude r4 hasn’t left my regular rotation since it dropped. Album of the year for me
Country shit is hitting, but Def Jam’s machine is used to seeing a little better response before putting something out.
Aint that a bitch…..
Def disappointed about the push back. But I’m tryin to make it to the smokers club show in Allentown, PA. So I might see u AJ. Them weekday shows kill me tho cuz I work 2nd shift
The bass head gods have answered. This will give me time to replace the 12w7 I just blew in my whip. Perfect timing. Let that boy play!
I knew it.

this was obvious…the 27th was gonna be too much of a good day
how come everyone always wants so much music from an artist(in the form of mixtapes between albums or throw away album material)to tide them over for an album? I can understand if its like detox or something where it takes over 10 years to come out but these artists are only taking 1-2 yrs at max…don’t get me wrong return of foreva is amazing and could have been an album in its own right but I would never want an artist to lessen the quality of their brand just to put something out there…I guess I’m just a strong believer in quality over quantity as these days there is just SO MUCH music being pumped out by every artist it’s overwhelming…I know this is kind of a dumb idea (to put a halt on artists giving more free music) lol but does anyone else feel this way?
Cole World?
Seriously though, I’m glad Yela and Krit’s albums got pushed back. I couldn’t cop all three on one day. These kind of guys who have largely got the same demographic need to stay out of each other’s way.
Don’t trip. It’ll work out. Everyone will be satisfied. Gotty is a smart guy too, that is all.

actually, it’s not. the archaic “the country over” phrasing makes reading it a little awkward, but read it aloud and you’ll see it’s grammatically sound.
