NBA Lockout Report: Guess Which NBA Legend Is Working With LeBron James?

By AJ / 08.09.11

Displaying the sunny personality that he’s been so often marketed as having, LeBron James shared a moment with the press after his annual “Kings for Kids Bikeathon,” held in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. ‘Bron spoke on many subjects, ranging from how he felt about getting whooped on by Dallas in the Finals to working with Hakeem Olajuwon on his post moves (a terrifying concept). The most interesting statement he made, though, pertains to the current lockout that appears ready to eat the 2011-12 season: “I’m preparing for there to be a training camp in the next month. I’m very optimistic that Billy Hunter and the owners and David Stern will figure out a way to come together and for us to have a season. And I’ll be ready for it.”

Naturally, there isn’t a body on this planet that wants a new NBA season to appear right around the corner more than LBJ. Still, as much as I hate him (and, as an Ohioan, I really do), it’s nice to hear some optimism in regards to next season, especially considering Billy Hunter’s recent “Forecast of Doom.” Fingers crossed!

And lets all take in the possibility of LeBron James with a decent set of post moves. This is something that Bill Simmons always harps on and it’s on-point: James has the physical tools to make 90% of the players in the league his b*tch down low. If The Dream can impart a fraction of what he knows, LeBron becomes the most complete player the League has ever seen.
