Pocket-sized dunk artist Nate Robinson proved that he isn’t immune to the alluring smell of NFL training camps, stating his plans to try out for a defensive back spot on a NFL team over the next couple of weeks. “It has always been one of my dreams to play in the NFL and right now, the opportunity is presenting itself so I think it’s pretty much a sign from God,” the three-time NBA Slam Dunk champ said after getting encouragement from Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll through Twitter.
A two-sport star at the University of Washington, it’s not hard to envision the spring-loaded Robinson – whose high school highlight real merits a glance – perhaps filling a small role in a team’s defensive backfield. The three teams Robinson’s said to be considering? The Seahawks, Raiders and Eagles. At the very least, his interest in the NFL is guaranteed to be more worthwhile than anything Michael Beasley does.

I still think they robbed Andre Igoudala for that Dunk Championship. Nate is a great athlete though.
