Not too many months pass by where Lil Wayne and Cash Money don’t face multi-million dollar legal action against them. While they passed through July unscathed, August 1st arrived and Weezy and CMR were hit with a $15 million lawsuit for claims they stole the hit record “Bedrock.”

According to All Hip-Hop, a lawsuit was filed by Georgia-based Done Deal Enterprises accusing Lil Wayne, Young Money Records and Cash Money Records of stealing parts of “Bedrock,” which they claim to have copyrighted. Done Deal is seeking $15 million in damages and Lil Wayne has been ordered to appear in court on October 12 to face the claims.

While the industry may not be lucrative as it once was, aspiring rappers and producers seem to have found a new way to a payday: give a song to Cash Money, let them make it hot, then sue for a pot of gold. Too bad there’s a long line of suitors already in front of them.
