Drake notched another recognition by winning the “Urban Songwriter of the Year” award at last night’s BMI Urban Awards in L.A. Before the ceremonies, MTV News got a chance to ask Drake his role in Weezy’s “It’s Good.” Drizzy kept his hands clean by deferring to Wayne, stating “I just got a beat and did a verse on it. That’s a question for Wayne more than me.” When asked about his rumored duets album with Weezy, Drake indicated that his focus is solely on Take Care’s October 24th release and “anything moving forward I’ll figure it out afterward.”
The “escape route” disses should cease.

RAP IS AN INDIVIDUAL ART! LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
That was the lamest/funniest thing I ever heard.
Damn! Weezy & Baby put Drake and Kiss in a precarious sit-i-a-shun.
I commend both (despite the flack they will/are taking) for not showing solidarity to DUMBsh*t!) If I recall, WC and Mac-10 got caught up in the Cypress Hill-Cube matter for no reason.
Fo sho nothing wrong with loyalty to some extent and it made for good battle music! but clearly the records suggests Cube violated and it could have been avoided yet they stuck by their dude! I’m a Cube fan and all but some days ya gotta ask your homie (Weezy…hmmmm), WTF were you thinking or drinking?
C’MON SON! Drake and Kiss want that anti-leak strategy/technology they aint stupid! Big said it…things gon change! New model…its happening! Friend or Foe!
‘Kiss very well may not have known. But listening to Drake’s verses, I find it hard to believe he wasn’t aware of what was going down lol. His verse just screams “yeah, aggin! we comin’ for you.”
That’s kind of like being out with your boys at the bar or club, and you witness one or two of them get in a scuffle…you either join the fray or turn the other way, depending on your allegiance to them, regardless of right or wrong. At least that’s how it used to be.
co-sign gotty…drakes verse was him basically hyping wayne to whip that nigga ass…then getting shook, when someone says who said that….man up drizzy…
and aint no such thing as halfway crooks
He has to have one of the weirdest smiles I’ve ever seen.

What’s that have to do with anything? Not a damn thing. Just felt like putting that out there.
Pac would have called out names lol.
^^^
Pac woulda fucked Beyonce and made a song about it.
“Pac woulda f’d Beyonce and made a song about it.”

And had the swag to pull her AND come off as charismatic while telling us about via song afterwards lol
BTW – Nice job in your response via VIBE Gotty™
“When Game & other lessers throw rocks, Hova’s expected to ignore them because they’re not on the same competitive level. It’s not the same with Lil Wayne since he’s in the current upper echelon along with Jay, ‘Ye and Em and holds his own sizable fanbase and influence. Don’t respond and all the things people use as slights against Hov – too rich, too out of touch, too old – become more true.”
Exactly.
But we all know he will respond… Just not in the Nas/Mobb Deep/Jayo Felony way. I think him taking those routes are done. I mean, he didn’t even say DeShawn Stevenson’s name in Blow the Whistle.
drake was definitely in the know about it. He sounds like he was mad at someone in that verse. He probably wants to make sure he still can get that Jayz verse for Take Care if he didn’t get it yet.
I’m pretty sure he’s not gonna be getting another Jay verse anyway. I think he’s just hoping he doesn’t get roped into the retaliation. But yea, after “It’s Good”, if Drake hit up Hov for another verse, Jay would probably fart into a microphone and e-mail it to him.
Lol yall rough on a jew-nigga lol. Ths fake ass rap beef aint goin nowher. Ol sweet lips weezy wont kill nothn let nothn die n ol OL ass jigga jay-z aint finna do shit but throw an ol man tantrum frm his armchair lol. Alls im sayn is thes niggaz cakin off ths
So Drizzy is a pussy what else is new? This ain’t Cananda Aubrey. I know he used to throwing penguins and hockey pucks around, so he ain’t used to the heat. BUt like Beans said get down or lay down pussy.
do remember, it’s all entertainment.
There’s penguins in “Cananda”???
Say what you will, I’m still waiting on Take Care.
lol whole comment section is comedy.
@tins ……………. fuck “take care” lmao
I know he used to throwing penguins and hockey pucks around
======
every time you make a canada joke, an eskimo gets his wings.
Some friendly advice for Drake from a beef-hungry outsider:
1)Put Take Care on hold
2)Waterboard Weezy with codeine
3)Name new collaboration album Usyrup with nothing but shots at Jigga Man and Yeezy (bar after bar)
Thank you for your time
It’s only entertainment/comedy…very true.
Sad thing is, the entertainers really think they’re these characters they’re portraying.
Ross, Wayne etc etc, these niggas really think they gangsters.
Maaaaan he just aint built for the situation thats all non of us should really be surprised

Pac would have called out names lol.
—————————————————————
Pac would have dedicated the whole song about them and had impersonators of them in his video.
ye got that beat for the reply :] cant wait
am i the only thinking the best thing that can come out of all this is kanye beefing with drake…that will go down as the funniest, best beef ever….and the beats gonna be tight
COME ON DRAKE. You’re under Wayne’s employment.
Drake went 100% Pontius Pilate on this shit..
Goodluck to Wayne and Baby.
The climate of things nowadays isn’t conducive for beef. Shit moves way too fast these days. At least back in the day we could let beef records settle because the output of new songs wasn’t as high as it was today.
Unless you’re saying some really damaging shit on a song, it’s just another track in the grand scheme of daily music lol.
Jay hasn’t called a rapper out on wax since “Blueprint 2.” Wayne hasn’t since Gillie on “Problem Solver.” That’s probably wrong, but you get what I’m saying lol.
Drake went all Pontius Pilate on Wayne
Only thing left is for Baby to back out..
those motherfuckers sitting behind drake in that picture is high as hell.
Let the games begin!
Best comments section in a while.
It sound like Drake really not feeling Young Money anymore.. And why do i have a feeling Jay will be on “Take Care” dissing Wayne???
BTW im really this close to saying F Jayz for how he doing my nigga J.Cole, who’s still waiting 16 bars… Jay is nowhere near the talent that he used to be anyway i doubt id be missing something..
ColeWord….TakeCare= Great Music

Drake folded like paper.
@ Neva, Hmmmmm, cold enough I guess…LOL! Maybe those Happy Feet, superfly, ass dancin ones.
somebody on twitter said Drake shouldve did like Trey when he was riding with Doughboy and them looking for Rickey’s killer…
“let me out the car man.”
@ Teef
Feeling that comment, most def; when people go to clubs/bars with rowdy, unemployed goons with the IDGAF mentality and thats how the whole crew rolls (nothing to lose), its easy for individual crewmembers to make that IDGAF decision to ride/die if it goes down;
Alternatively is the crewmember(s) who ain’t goons (or as street-smart), i.e. say they work at IBM, UPS, (where ever) and are just out trying to have a good time with their homies but get caught-up;
That scenario might force a different loyalty decision because these cats tend to avoid static & ride a neutral line;
They may pull the car up or separate folks & that might be important but they ain’t getting grimy, throwing no punches or leaving in cuffs (Drake).
@ Maurice
Perfect! LMAO!
Drake wasn’t even all bloody like Trey was though;
Maybe they drove past a Red Cross Blood Donation Center & he saw the word BLOOD and started feeling DRIZZY and then said let me out! Let me out maaaan!!……(probably sung it).
@ Teef,
I was trying to co-sign but my posting went to hyperspace…I guess!
Drake’s gonna do a sing-songy diss…
