Drake notched another recognition by winning the “Urban Songwriter of the Year” award at last night’s BMI Urban Awards in L.A. Before the ceremonies, MTV News got a chance to ask Drake his role in Weezy’s “It’s Good.” Drizzy kept his hands clean by deferring to Wayne, stating “I just got a beat and did a verse on it. That’s a question for Wayne more than me.” When asked about his rumored duets album with Weezy, Drake indicated that his focus is solely on Take Care’s October 24th release and “anything moving forward I’ll figure it out afterward.”

The “escape route” disses should cease.
