To properly get you thirsting for Cole World: The Sideline Story, the young Simba is embarking on a weekly music episode like offering time in Sunday Service. The first installment is a quick but significant package because it features a couple of records that were slated to make the cut for the album, but for whatever reason, didn’t.
Each song comes with a fortune cookie message from Mr. Cole so keep it in a safe place until 9.27.11 when the official joint hits stores.

I’ve found myself not looking forward to Cole’s music anymore. Seeing how KRIT has gained sucess, with out compromise, i dont think Cole can do the same under Jay. Definitely gonna check this out, tho.

I don’t think Cole is going to compromise the album as a whole. Maybe one or two attempts at singles he might have not otherwise included himself, but he’s made it pretty clear the reason it’s taking so long is that he’s attempting to make a classic. I can’t see his debut being notably weaker than Friday Night Lights.

How many 1st time artist get full creative control on their 1st major release? He will have to make some compromises; but with the more success he garners the more freedom to create the albums he wants will happen for him.

after that punchline I turned this shit off. Warm-Up and Friday Night Lights were both nails but his Drake-lite schtick and endless interviews have worn me down. Squandered skill. Asher has more of an upside right now.
