So the word on the e-streets is Blu was out at the Cali leg of Rock The Bells and was passing out his upcoming album, NoYork! for nothing but minutes on the hour. And being that this is the day of the Internet, he took the next step to spread the word. We’ve seen this movie before, Lil B. For those trying to piece together some sort of reasoning behind this, save yourself some headache and remember you’re dealing with the eccentric and unpredictable Johnson Barnes. Maybe this was the grand design all along.
The album features guest slots from Co$$, Jack Davey, U-God as well as that signature eclectic Blu sound throughout. It’s NoYork! live from Los Angeles.
Update: Blu did give away copies at the show however he did not initially authorize the leak, as has been rumored. Still, he’s okay with the ways of the Internuts…as long as you buy a physical copy. Please buy if you respect the man and like his art. Pats on the back and blog posts don’t really help keep the electric bill paid.

Yes. Muthafuckin yes.
Mind you, that comment was just off the pure randomness that is this album droppin. I will return with comment about the music, lol
just as well that he let it leak for free…i don’t think i would have paid for this one. i’ve been listening throughout the day and there are only “a couple three” songs i even really fuck with on this thing.
had i laid out cash money i’d have been slightly salted…but for the free, the price is right and i’m not complaining.
The album is erm…ummm…different to say the least. There is no comparison with this and Below The Heavens!!
Cool
But did Warner Bros sanction this lol?
STS’ The Illustrious is out too. Fire.
So much music today.
Back in the late 90′s some artist had it coming for putting out wack records, but I think some of them have really tried come correct. After seeing how disapointed my man Raheem Devaughn looked after his seeing those numbers I feel bad.
I remember when the cable man cut our stolen cable after 10 years. Its coming, I think they just wanted to try their hand at killing the rap game.
anyone else think he looks like bubbles from the wire?!!!!
Its cool…alot goin on in some of the tracks but its cool.
*plays “Dancing in the Rain”*
the production is fucking crazy. sounds like Tokimonsta or FlyLo handled it.
maybe this album is toooooo ahead of its time? as different as this sounds, i fux with it heavy.
The first half of the record is gonna alienate anyone who doesn’t really fuck with the current flylo/low end type of beats. I personally like em, still not entirely convinced they work for emcees though. The second half of the record is rock solid. Will have to give it more of a look in before running back to BTH.
Please don’t take it personal
But I gotta go and work some mo’
J e s u s > NoYork!
I’m saying.
he totally jacked that artwork from Cut Copy’s album Zonoscope. But I fuck with it, because Blu is the fucking man in terms of how he operates.
this is dope. The new West Coast unbelievable diverse

^ haha, you got me dude
blu always gets play
production by Mr.Dibia$e if you dont know pick up that green llamas cd or the bts radio joint he has …production reminds me of dilla + fly lo
^^^
really?! damn, thought it was FlyLo on the production.
& @lluunndd it’s all good haha. i did my research behind that piece. it’s been floating round on the internet for sometime now.
Sooo if this is releasing physically does that mean Warner Bros is goin along with it? Judging that Blu is still pretty much (very) underground, NoYork isn’t going to be distributed internationally. I really dig Blu but I aint got credit to buy it digitally.
