What can you say to this? Based on their paths, artistic caricatures and regional proximity, Hopsin and Tyler, The Creator butting heads was bound to happen. Cliques and talents aside, they’re essentially delivering the same product. Odd Future wasn’t even a blip on my radar last October when I was big upping Hopsin as an unknown on the rise. Obviously, things have changed a tad. The 20-year-old Goblin has somehow infiltrated an online marketplace where the Domino Theory can turn tongue-twisting, seven-letter acronyms into branding behemoths while Hospin is left standing with dust in his face and obviously feels a little slighted.
That’s where the “Ill Mind Of Hopsin 4″ comes into play. Fresh off an appearance alongside Bobby Ray on Tech N9ne’s recent 6s & 7s album, the white-eyed Cali spitter delivers this self-directed/produced music video that not only throws very blatant jabs at Tyler, but actually takes it back to the Death Row days, where disses involved costumes. However, instead of calling AJ Johnson for the roll, Hop himself plays The Creator, complete with handfuls of bugs and over-sized, fake ears. The point is obvious: “I been told you aggin’s I’m real, If no one’s confronted you on your bullshit, then I will.”
Validity aside, at this point, would responding be to Tyler’s benefit?

This is actually funny cuz i thought tyler, the creator was hopsin when i first heard him. but naw, hopsins a better rapper, but i really think tyler’s more creative with the beats he makes and the videos he directs.

I like some of the music Hopsin and Odd Future put out, I just can’t vibe too much with it. Hopsin sucks. played gimmicks and teen angst. his music appeals to kids who music tastes have yet to evolve past flat beats and weak hooks. He was an actor first and still is, dont forget this. this is all crap done to try and get views off the backs of other artists. his own old label dumped him because he just couldnt generate the hype. now youve got him throwing out names and riding jock like hanes. the kid cant freestyle and has no real ability other than to piece together loops on a computer and half assed written battle type raps from his early AOL days and forums where he would just spam all day long. still broke, still at home, still cant skate good enough to generate any attention in that dept, acting is crappy (see disney imdb), bell pepper nose aint helpin either bruh. next.

I listened to Goblin twice..the story is cool..his lyrics are redundant some beats were mediocre..and “bitch suck dick”..smh..you already know..the ending was good too, but RAW is a completely different album and overall better product. And Hopsin has a dissed and artist with less buzz and fans than him so he doesn’t do stuff like this primarily for the attention.

You can only compare them on different aspects. I think hopsin is definitely more consistent. But Tyler and the rest of odd future have some of the best wordplay I have ever seen. As far as creativity and flow, that also goes to Tyler and his crew. But when it comes to Earl Sweatshirt, Hopsin needs to sit the fuck down!
