Just so we’re clear, Anthony Hamilton’s “The Point Of It All” track is on my list of personal favorite songs of the past five years. But since that record and album dropped nearly three years ago, Ant has been infamously quiet. Until now. Everyday’s a holiday on the Internet and today we have a triple helping of new records from the neo-soul marksman.
“Fantasy Girl” ranks as my least favorite of the three mainly due to the vibe of the beat and Hamilton’s soul drenched lyrics not making for the ideal combination. The other two, however, have some potential. Jack Splash’s “You” is two-step ready for the next cookout toting a powerful hook and overall feel-good vibe while “Why O Why” is the somber, semi-depressing, failed relationship ballad we’ve all come to love from Hamilton since the early 2000′s. Whether these are actually “new” or of the “unreleased” variety isn’t exactly clear at the moment. I’ll just hold hope this is a sign an album is somewhere in the near future.

I don’t think POIA was as strong as the debut but it still had packed heat. it’s just hard to live up to the standard set on the first joint.
And even some of the random unreleased mat’l joints > most cats retail offerings.
no denying he can sing & is 1 of the best male singers around…i dunno man, i just havent fucked with any of his releases the same as i did the 1st 1. yall def gon have me relistening to his albums tho.

I remember when they debuted his song on 106 and Park, and some dude was like, “I can’t vibe with it. Where I come from this type of music ain’t poppin.” He must’ve been from the virgin islands…
POIA the title track I thought would BLOW up…that was the best R&B song that came out that year. And has it really been 3 yrs since that album?
