Even though we don’t have more than a rumored tracklisting and reaffirmation from Tez that the August 29th release date is “not changing,” we do have both versions of Tha Carter IV’s album covers. For the deluxe edition, Weezy switches the color of his graduation gown from green to red.

Naw, still bad. Less bad, but still bad.
lol man, it’s so obvious who he’s trying to target now. I know he still got that carter 2 flow left in him, but he wants to keep his shit simple. I was watching this BTS of him with this dude from ESPN, and he was sayingthat he likes to keep it simple. From then on I knew….he’s in the bottomless pit, never to return again.
Long live Dedication 2, Da Drought 3, Tha Carter I & II, and Like Father, Like Son (even with Baby’s subpar rapping)…
Even though his rhymes on Da Drought 3 weren’t all that complex, it still bumped/bumps
OH I GET IT, THEY MADE HIS CAP & GOWN RED BECAUSE HE’S A “BLOOD”. K.
<————– Yuppppppppp
after what he said about production being “lackluster” for submissions im expecting a lazy effort by dwayne on this. He’ll try to make something more popish then carter 3, it’ll be a dissapointment as was No Mercy for TI.
oooh. gang member. cool. let me go buy.
I miss the days when an artist used their music as the way to attract people to their, well, music.
I like how this dude is repping Blood beyond belief now, sad thing is I bet he wasn’t back in the day when he Cheddar Bob’d himself. smh, I hate how rappers do that shit for attention, then they dumb their music down for the masses and sellout… just cause kids these days think gangbanging is cool doesn’t mean you should go around promoting it… shitty ass role model IMO.

ha. if being a fake blood is the only reason you think lil wayne is a bad role model, you prob shouldn’t have kids.
the thing only more annoying than fake gangbanging is people claiming that rappers should be role models. These are people who make a living off saying some off the most violent, profanity-laced, misogynistic things possible. We support them for that and then turn around and tell them to set a good example for our children? gtfoh.

Maybe he shouldn’t change the cover from his first version, I think it’s simple and clear. But it reminds me on the Nirvana cover…

O_o How?
Gunna be aight, he couldn’t record it on drugs so it’ll be less innovative and more technical.

now you’re stereotyping rappers as a whole, even though you’ll probably consider them wack, have you ever listened to Brother Ali, or Lecrae? I’d say even J. Cole has songs here and there that’re something kids can look up to, “Show Me Somethin”… “See World”… “Losing My Balance”. And I’d DEFINITELY throw Blu in the mix with them, that dude spits that real shit. I’ve rarely heard him degrade a woman on the track, or promote violence.
ps – I would’ve had a little more respect for that post if you had corrected that to — *cues up Eminem’s “Role Model”*
[if you say the SSLP Eminem was wack then let me get your connect's number, cause he must selling you the dopest of dope]
Rich Boy is a joke.
@ Cell©: I think the idea is the same. He uses a little kid to transport a message.
As everyone can see Tha Carter IV sold plenty of copies!
