From a personal standpoint, Fabolous’ The S.O.U.L. Tape has been one of the more replay-worthy releases of 2011. Crossing off the next item on his to-do list, Loso liberates the video for the Pac-inspired cut, “Pain.” Filled with witty one-liners and the usual Fab bravado, the audio easily makes this one of the highlights. The visuals, however, are confusing to a degree. I understand the concept of the record was pain and walking through a desert represents struggle, but it didn’t seem to align with what the lyrics were quoting.
Dah well, promotion is promotion. Since he’s shooting videos though, hopefully one for “Slow Down” is somewhere on the agenda.

For real. I think it’s actually a touch better than the Funeral Service mixtape everyone was lovin last year. Haven’t heard many people talking about this one, though.
Definitely a dope mixtape. Surprised his lyrics on another track that seemed to be about wiz (if they aren’t it’s a pretty big coincidence) never really got much attention either
Dope fucking tape! I couldn’t get past this song when I first heard it; I replay it 10 times every listen. I need a video for EVERY song on the SOUL tape!
This beat and Above The Rim are firmly etched in my brain so if it’s not a video with that theme or in the New York City streets it doesn’t match for me either. Good track though, hope he shoots one for “Mo Brooklyn, Mo Harlem, Mo Southside”.
