They don’t make them like they used to. Over the years, Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott has proved to be an innovator, musical prodigy, trendsetter and game changer, thrice over. She was a key component in unifying the lines of Hip-Hop and R&B for the cause of making good music, building up urban artists to become megastars in their own right, redefining a woman’s image in pop culture and all that was before her first LP.
The woman behind timeless hits like “Work It,” “One In a Million,” “On and On,” “Up Jumps Da Boogie,” “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly),” “So Gone”…oh hell. We’ll be here all day if I keep this up. Damn, where was I? Oh yeah, Missy recently has made headlines for her weight loss, a result from being diagnosed with Graves Disease. All indications point to her being A-OK and it’s her musical catalog that needs to be catapulted to the top of the news bin.
On that note, VH1 is proud to honor her as being the 219th lead for their critical-acclaimed series, Behind The Music. Watch and take notes on how to become Supa Dupa Fly.
VH1 has plenty of bonus footage for those wanting a little bit more.

Good shit. Im rooting for her
One of the best to EVER do it.
EVER.
soo fu#kin talented in so many ways #imjustsayin
I miss the whole missy/timbaland crew. Classic material danger out if that collective. r.i.p. aaliyah. r.i.p static.
Imma watch this later.
The track at the beginning is SICK
That intro Tim had on the first Missy album was to be used by Biggie before he died. I used to sit and think how dope that song would have been to have Big murder that track. That whole collective changed the game sans Magoo, that dude was the worst
Missy, Tim, Aaliyah, Ginuwine, Magoo. That was the crew.
good ive missed her!
