If a person’s signed to a major label and don’t have a hit, the music prolly wont drop. I think Jay elec is more shook now cos he missed the exhibit C wave. Heck, even after HAM flopped Jay and Ye have been release date dodging.
Jay elec needs to just have faith in himself, if he drops that shit he has a big enough fanbase that it’ll do respectable numbers. He should drop an E.P. or something with Exhbit A/C, Dear Moleskine and a couple other joints and then just drop the LP.

Totally agree, but Jay Electronica doesn’t strike me as a ‘hit-making’ artist. He looks set to be plagued by the problem that Nas always faced in that he’s immensely talented but as a genuine ‘artist’ can’t make big pop hits. Having artistic depth isn’t a failing in my book, but then again I’m not releasing his music and trying to make a profit from it…
