Normally, posting the clean version of a record would never cross my mind. Spitta’s “She Don’t Want A Man” is an exception. Weekend At Burnie’s sparks nationwide June 28 and whether this record makes it past the cutting room floor has yet to be confirmed. Regardless if it is or isn’t, if you’re like me, said record is already high-stepping its way to the iPod. Curren$y reflects on a relationship every man has fantasized about and a handful have been lucky enough to experience sans complications. To be real, I honestly thought the song was about a car at first.
And don’t look now, but this is Curren$y’s third project of 2011. It’s only June and Muscle Car Chronicles and Pilot Talk III are said to be coming later this year. I could be wrong, but that has to be some sort of record if he actually pulls the feat off. Call him a lot of things, but do not call the man lazy.

UPDATE: Turns out this is on the album. Pre-order Weekend At Burnie’s over at the Warner Bros. headquarters.

Spitta
I didn’t know curren$y even made clean versions of his music.
Spitta only one hit away (and a r&b hook) from regular rotatation.
Currensy is currently “in the zone”.
Everything he touches is hot…..much like Rick Ross, KRIT, and Killer Mike.
This song is real nigga music…perfectly diagramming a situation
“Aea”-Spitta
LMAOO ^ i don’t know why, but that shit is funny Cell.
all im going to say is jets fool
right when i thought i was over dude
I really hope Curren$y can blow the fuck up without compromising his sound like his boy Wiz. He’s one of my favorite emcees going right now and I’d hate for him to take the easy route. Unlikely for a guy who drops a new album every 6 months.
Also, just saw Curren$y at Soundset here in MPLS and other than Big Boi, he was the best performer of the day. I wasn’t sure going in if his laid back flow would translate on stage, but I’ll be damned if he didn’t rip it.
Same sample as “Jazzy Belle”? Curren$y has had a long-standing OutKast fixation…
This is great. Spitta really making a strong case for being the best rapper this year, Covert Coup was a real grower (I still spin it daily and hear new depth and punchlines in the track) and Return to the Winner’s Circle was a solid tape too.
