As the state faces a $15 billion deficit, Illinois Senate Republican Leader Christine Radgono took it to her colleagues with rap, using the wise words of Rae to emphasize her point during a state budget meeting. Rae was pleased with the reference, stating “Who would of thought a kid words from the projects would be quoted into the political world, Hip hop is powerful!”
