Now that the summer’s rearing its head again, Flockaveli will once more have a spot in the whip’s rotation. And I fully expect this Lex Luger conspired lullaby to have its fair share of spins. Tell me Mama Deb’s pride and joy didn’t do his thing on this. It’s not Nas on “Verbal Intercourse,” but that’s two different peas in two different pods.
Speaking of the dreaded wonder, with five bonafide hit singles – “O Let’s Do It,” “O Let’s Do It (Remix),” “Hard In The Paint,” “No Hands” and “Grove Street Party” – can we admit his debut is still under-appreciated? Or does divulging such information continue to excommunicate you from the cool kids table?

This. Niggas been talking about what Flocka is talking about before him and people will do it after him. Flocka may not be the most lyrical dude, but the sheer energy in his album is hard to deny. My favorite track is Karma. As soon as that song hits, I’m jumping up and down shaking the baby dreads.
That whole album went hard as hell.
i approve this message.
Waka Flocka will never find his way into my iPod but I like his music at clubs & parties.
I hate when I go check out a Nas or Lupe Fiasco video and all the kids commets are like “Hip Hop is dead because of Waka Flocka”. People need to realize that hip-hop is a multifaceted genre. Hard In The Paint is my shit in the club. I mainly use my ipod with headphones, though. So I mainly listen to shit like Mos Def, Nas, Kweli, Jay Elec, Curren$y, The Wu (mainly Rae, Ghost, Meth & Inspectah Deck), J Cole, Fashawn, etc.
In the knowledgeable words of Waka Flocka Flame…”WE IN DIH BIT THROWIN GANG SIGNS MAAAAANE!!!!!” *Middle Finger to the cool kids table*
lol
I must say this was, looking back on it, a pretty good album for what it is. If you need workout music, stripper music, or just some heavy bass-in-your-trunk shit, this is the album to listen to. “Gun Sounds” is my shit.
“Hard In The Paint” will get anybody hype at a party tho. Same for “No Hands”
If I were to ever engage in Mortal Kombat with someone, Waka would be my background music.
“Waka Flocka will never find his way into my iPod but I like his music at clubs & parties.”
same here, expect for the liking his music at clubs and parties, call me what you will but ill keep that 7L/ESOTERIC – “no shots” in rotatation, still! just for the simple fact Eso rips nujacks like Waka..
and to quote the latest Pharoahe album..
“Open your eyes man you’ve been bamboozled
By the usual plans hit up the middle like Stan Musial
If y’all are telling me today’s music is suitable and appealing
Then I’m telling you the feelings are not mutual!..”
and this..
“People need to realize that hip-hop is a multifaceted genre”
no..people need to realize that rappers like Waka (“whatever the fuck your name is!”) are not part of hip hop, thats is ringtone rap my dude. that is candy coated pop rap! And when you come out and basically disrespect every lyrical rapper by saying lyrical rap is dumb, thats beyond hallow-headed. Dude has no skills whatsoever…but i guess Ill take the bullet on this one since no one had the nerve to keep it right!..fuck it..hate me.
C’mon son, Waka is the prolly one of the wackest rappers I’ve heard but his music is the farthest thing from ringtone candy coated pop rap.
You wanna go to a club and listen to Atmosphere and DOOM? lol
And when did Waka ever say lyrical rap is dumb? If you can hit me up with a link or video where he say’s that then I wont even bother arguing.

listen to what he says in the beggining of the video..least hes smart enough to be sarcastic…but you know what hes sayin..
its sad if you listen to what there talking about. nobody signs up for a freestyle battle on their website but countless people post tracks with corny ass hooks…
this is what im sayin..
Im not tryna go to a club and listen to atmosphere or Doom or whatever other “backpack/self-consciouss/lyrical rapper you wanna name, but, I personally dont want to go to clubs anymore in the first place! grew outta that shit quick, specially nowadays, its laughable, buncha sluts and douchebags. Ill be at the open-mic, thats me. And yea i need those bumps for the whip (Freddie Gibbs,Yela,Curren$y,) I got that. You can have slap beats and still come off wita ill-flow. Wacka dont have that, he got some slap beats but has no mic skills, dont give me that B.S., “hes cool to listen to at the club or in the car..” NO! not really. Cmon son, Gibbs>>>>>Flocka
bang bang bang bang bang
flockaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa bowwwwwwww
bang bang bang..reminds me..
Killa Mike >>>>>> Floka
Man miss me with all that “you-shouldn’t-like-this-type-of-music” talk lol. Ol’ elitist nonsense. I like what I like.
