Sir Aah’s been on my radar for a minute. He’s cooked up joints with the likes of Nipsey Hussle, the Clipse and, most notably, all four members of Slaughterhouse. But it’s a double-edged sword, and with all these A-List features, he’s taken some criticism, over the years, mainly for not being able to keep his raps up to their level. Gil Scott-Heron, one of the forefathers of spoken word, died Friday afternoon in New York at age 62. His publisher, Jamie Byng, tweeted news of the passing earlier. Nicki’s Pink Friday finds a new spark of life with the release of “Did It On ‘Em” video. Directed by DJ Scoob Doo, applying the term video to the clip would be slightly misleading.
