Boosie has been on mini press run as of late. The recent Twitpic of Bad Azz with his prison jewels caused a mini-stir and his latest interview with XXL shed light on a handful of topics. One of those being how the feds are apparently stealing his music.

“[I'm here] ’cause of the songs I made, before I was indicted, about the police in Baton Rouge and what’s going on here,” he said. “There’s a lot with our record label, that the system don’t like… They took my hard drive out of my house after I got arrested. I have albums for days in there. They still haven’t returned it. They’ve had it for damn near a year now. I need that music.”

As a person who is highly protective of their hard drive, I can feel him. One day I lost mine and damn near went crazy. You never get that music back no matter how much time you dedicate. Thankfully it was simply misplaced and I found it about 20 minutes later, but needless to say those were very tense times. Seeing as how Boosie has been locked down for a minute and has released more than his fair share of music, one can only ponder how much has yet to be liberated. “Tear It Down” appeared over the weekend and features fellow Trill Fam brethren Lil Phat and Webbie. Just another Bad Azz track for the record books, but fret not, even he is keeping his head up when the topic of his freedom is brought up.

“I’m leaving Louisiana the first day I get out of prison,” Boosie said. “I’m a major target down here. I’ll thank God for everything and get back to the money.”
