As time flies by, the always-unbuttoned Theophilus London continues to carve his niche. Somewhat upbeat, while somehow simultaneously downtrodden, this Brooklynite’s analogish approach at Rhythm & Rap finds airplay anywhere from South Central to the South of France, while his unrefined demeanor keeps people both confused and intrigued. During this new visual for “Century Girl” – an unreleased toast to London’s Lovers Holiday sessions – the total package comes together like a retro-active, rap-version of Ready For The World. The mood is right, poses are being struck and this well-rounded pop poet is making many a white woman beam.
Plus, Theo London adds flavor to even the most random of videos? Killer Mike FTW.

Can’t wait til he’s put on. I wouldn’t doubt it if Jay scoops him up for the roc nation roster. He just acquired Santigold not too long ago.
If Jay picks him up…
This guy is making better music than most of the industry these days. It be crazy if Jay jumps on board. Great addition to any roster
i don’t know this for certain but I’m pretty sure jay’s fully aware of his music since TL’s recorded w/Solange.
london is that dude. one of the best live shows i’ve seen.
I dig the song more than the video. To me he’s been hit/miss. Some things are beyond dope, others I skip. I wouldn’t mind seeing him live tho, seems like a good show.
That girl in the gray sportsbra thing…my gawd
Funny you mention seeing him live. At sxsw, i arrived late to our showcase one day and was rushing to get out when I parked. When I did get out of the car, I was near maybe the MTV stage or something and I could hear “Humdrum Town” and Theo singing.
I stood in some gravel parking lot and listening to his whole set.
Yeah, I ended up being dumb late and had some folks angry, but it was very much worth it.

Man, that’s a bitch.
I was late to a J. Cole/Wale concert not too long ago. I left my house, which is 45 miles away from the House of Blues in LA, at 5:30. The concert started at 8. It was all-star weekend (I forgot), and it was raining like a mutha! Got there at 8:30. My phone died on the way there, so I couldn’t hit up the homie. Luckily I called him while I was on my way, and told him to go on without me. Still ended up getting a good spot, and it really started at around 9. Drake, Wale, and Melanie Fiona came out during J. Cole’s set. Boy was it live! The crowd almost rushed the stage when Drake came out. Cole was lookin like, “ain’t that about a bitch! Degrassi gettin mo’ love than me.” haha All around, dope concert.
