Whereas talent tends to get its rightful consideration regarding an artist’s ability, the extra boost in one’s performance that confidence brings tends to get overlooked or sometimes, nary mention at all. When you’re zoning, you see words before they even hit your notepad; your entire outlook is in 3-D. It’s like that little star that begins to flash underneath a player in sports games. Sometimes rising above and beyond your expectations may seem all too easy and damn scary all the same.

Oh yeah. You knew it was coming. You heard the clamoring on Twitter on and various websites that Kendrick Lamar was dropping something new shortly. With great anticipation breeds great expectation and well, the newly dubbed Prince of Compton; the one who’s co-signing Dr. Dre these days and not vice versa; the one you just knew was going to belt it out of the park…has delivered.

What is expectantly only a taste to come from his forthcoming album, Section.80, Kendrick mirrors up with another proven quasi-rookie in J. Cole for a role that will probably surprise everyone but the man himself. Jermaine determinedly wants to be known as producer outside of his vocals altogether and he lets his hypnotizing Pro Tool skills speak for him this time out. The ending result is “HiiiPoWeR.” A record booming with so much concentrated energy, it’s damn near radioactive.

As for obtaining the song, it’s available on iTunes now. Support the movement so Section.80 can get out of the projects without any delays.
