Game – “All Doggs Go To Heaven (R.I.P. Nate Dogg)”

By J. Tinsley / 03.18.11

We all knew it was coming. It was just a matter of from who. As the Hip Hop world attempts to balance the passing of Nate Dogg with SXSW and March Madness, Game steps up to the plate first to offer his audio eulogy with “All Doggs Go To Heaven.” Jayceon borrows Big Sean’s Don Cannon produced “Final Hour” to pay his respects by offering his favorite memories of the deceased West Coast legend such as one time getting high with Nate, Snoop, Daz, Kurupt and Dre in the studio in 2005. And yes, this is a Game track, so name dropping is of no shortage. That being said, this one proper noun drunken line was dope:

I hold the West Coast down, that’s why you signed me/And Nate came with hooks better than Kareem and Ali…

Well, at least I thought so. In closing, I’ll admit one thing. God willing if I live to be 80+, hearing Nate’s “Hold up!” will never get old. Never.
