We’ve been riding for Dee-1 for a while now here at TSS. Now, like the title of this mixtape states, we hope y’all hear him. J. Tinsley stated a while back that “the content of his lyrics are a breath of fresh air” and I definitely agree with the man’s assessment. Couple the aforementioned skill with dude’s unique charisma and an emcee worth watching for is the result. Now, he’s set to grace the public with 18 fiery tracks. Cameos from luminaries like MURS, Mickey Factz, Mannie Fresh and Mac just add to the appeal, making it clear that IHTHMV2 deserves a spot in any listening rotation. This young man from New Orleans is looking to blow up in the rap game, and this tape is the spark that’ll light the fuse.

Man I hope this guy wins
Heard his “Jay, 50 and Weezy” track on Shade45′s “Don’t quit your day job” segment this morning. Dope. That’s the first time that segment hasn’t made me embarrassed to be a hip-hop fan.
He’s definitely got my ear and I’ll be checking this mixtape out.
also heard him this AM on shade45. the song “riding by myself” was probably one of the better guys for “dont quit your day job”, but it was still boring. i dont think im even gonna download this.
DOWNLOAD THIS ALBUM!!!! (Especially tracks 9 & 18, lol)
Dee 1 killin his self you can be a 24/7 good guy and expect the people constantly check for you. Today’s rap audience is about 30% dumber and 50% more interested in drugs guns and hoes.
I’m just saying
he can hold your attention for a quick second but the whole holyer than thou thing play out after while
But I must say I do love the attempt to be something different than the bull shit rap has turned into …..
